The consolidation of Bluecoat and NortonLifeLock* created the need to design a new integrated office environment that would inevitably impact all employees. In addition to marrying two different offices on the same floor, the design called for new workstations, security protocols and technologies for meeting spaces.
The space houses Sales and Customer Support for NortonLifeLock. As a leader in cyber security, new protocol requires all visitors to sign in at a new central reception point on an upper floor. Visitors are met by their hosts and escorted into a light-filled workspace with views to the Lone Peak Mountains. To provide maximum flexibility, the design team specified DIRTT wall systems to add focus, huddle and conference rooms as well as a training room.
NortonLifeLock’s workplace design guidelines allows for local cultural influences in materials and finishes. The Draper palette includes reclaimed wood and polished concrete, left raw and natural to reflect the local environment. To accommodate lovers of the outdoors and the fitness-conscious, AP+I Design designed new amenities like the cycle center, game room and fitness room. Oversized nature and outdoor sport-themed graphics and bold colors speak to users’ appreciation of their unique location.
