minority owned architecture firms

Mountain View, CA—AP+I Design is thrilled to announce our national certification as a Minority-Owned Business by the Western Regional Minority Supplier Development Council, WRMSDC—a regional certifier affiliated with the National Minority Supplier Development Council.

Our Principals, Meera Agrawal and Antonio Caliz, assumed ownership of the firm in 2023. Within the same year, we became Woman-Owned Certified by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council, WBENC. As of April 2024, we also became Minority-Owned Certified.  Meera and Antonio understand the value of these certifications to our clients and the underrepresented in the field of Architecture and Design.

“We are in the perfect position to advocate for diversity and the advancement of the underrepresented groups in our field.  We understand the challenges they face and are here to welcome them to our team,” says Antonio Caliz.

At AP+I Design, more than half of our staff are racial or ethnic minorities. Our goal is to grow our expertise in how Diversity, Equity, and inclusion (DEI) influence design. We maintain a company culture and body of work that values aesthetics and construction detail as much as respect, inclusivity, and open-mindedness.

“We believe our culture is vibrant because of our diversity, and we’re committed to supporting and nurturing this through policy and action,” says Meera Agrawal
