Intermediate Designer 

AP+I Design is looking for an Intermediate Designer to play a pivotal role in our Mountain View studio.

 The ideal candidate will support a project manager on a wide range of projects, with responsibility for everything from as-builts, space planning, design, production work and permitting, to construction administration.

What Our Expectations Look Like…

  • Provide thoughtful design while promoting a collaborative project team approach  

  • Possess advanced knowledge of design and technical skills to guide, direct and mentor project team(s) from vision through execution of the design solution 

  • Interpret project requirements and goals, to develop and define the client’s workplace solution 

  • Promote client/owner engagement with a keen sense for guiding them effectively through the design process 

  • Reinforce the design schedule + budget parameters led by the Project Manager 

  • Coordinate the comprehensive design + technical implications with consultants + vendors to ensure seamless integration of projects including site, architecture, building systems, lighting, technology, acoustics and furnishings. 

  • Assist in raising the bar for design excellence within the studio by communicating through visual + verbal design strategy presentation 

  • Self-motivated to have the pulse on market trends + industry knowledge relative to AP+I Design's client base 

  • Active in key industry events 

  • Holds a bachelor’s degree, or recognized equivalent, in Interior Design or Architecture from 
    accredited program 

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possess or be working towards Architectural Licensure, NCIDQ or CCIDC certification (LEED accreditation a plus) 

  • 5-10 years of professional experience in workplace inclusive of planning, conceptualizing, documenting, presenting 

  • Proficiency in Revit, Enscape, Photoshop and InDesign programs are preferred 

 How to Apply:

This is a full-time position with a complete benefits package. Salary range $80K to $115K contingent on relevant experience.
