AP+I Design is looking for a Project Architect | Job Captain to play a pivotal role in our Mountain View studio.

The ideal candidate for this position is responsive with a client-focused work style and a strong background in commercial interiors projects. He or she will support project managers on a wide range of projects, with responsibility for everything from as-builts, space planning, construction documents and detailing, permitting, and construction administration within a collaborative studio environment.

What Our Expectations Look Like…
Provide project coordination and documentation required for agency approval, bidding purposes and construction
Coordinate with consultants during each phase of documentation
Obtain data from project designer and project consultants for specification preparation
Check shop drawings and submittals during construction observation phase
Reinforce the project schedule + budget parameters led by the Project Manager
Develop new construction details as needed
Act as team resource for project related technical information
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree from an accredited architectural or related design program
Minimum of 5-10 years of full-time professional experience
Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD
Demonstrated ability to organize and produce construction documents in Revit and AutoCAD
Fundamental knowledge of California building codes, sustainable design and construction detailing
Local experience is highly desirable
